5:38. Battered journalist Tatyana Chornovol said there were two cars following her before the attack.

'No one could know about my intention to go home that day, as I've decided to do this while driving', she said telling about the details of the attack.

She also added that the customer of her beating is the Ukrainian authorities.

9:04. In Dnepropetrovsk unidentified men beat one of the local Euromaidan activists Igor Mashkevitch, who helped collecting humanitarian aid for Euromaidan in Kyiv.

9:27. The opposition claims that authorities are preparing provocations against Auto-Euromaidan.

'Today we received some information about provocations being prepared against Auto-Euromaidan participants and activists. The main direction of attack is discreditation and criminal cases through throwing drugs and illegal weapons into their cars', wrote lawmaker from the opposition faction 'Batkivshchyna' Arsen Avakov in Facebook.

9:47. Tatyana Chornovol will be awarded with a journalistic prize named after Vasyl Symonenko.

10:00. Auto-Euromaidan activists intend to picket the visit of Prime Minister Nykolai Azarov to Brovary (Kyiv region), where he is to participate in the opening of the pool for training of Ukrainian Olympic athletes.

10:18. Unidentified men destroyed pedestal of the monument to Soviet soldiers in Gliniana city (Zolochiv district, Lviv region) on the 6th of January.

10:20. Police urges Euromaidan protesters not to block private housing of officials.

10:36. U.S. Senate passed a resolution supporting the Ukrainian people and their right to an independent and democratic future.

10:51. Education Minister Dmitry Tabachnik said that opposition turns Kyiv into a dirty dump.

10:57. Euromaidan activists headed to picket Kyiv's General Prosecutor.

11:20. Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv region opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism committed by a group of persons) in connection with a picket of a house of Interior Minister Vitaly Zakharchenko in Kyiv region by Euromaidan activists.

12:03. Ukraine halted gas purchases on the European market since the beginning of 2014.

12:05. About 150 Euromaidan activists are picketing the Ministry of Health with the requirement to provide accurate information about the health status of Tatyana Chornovol.

12:24. Leader of the opposition party 'UDAR' Vitali Klitschko intends to visit the Prosecutor General of Ukraine today at 14:00, where he intends to meet with the Attorney General of Ukraine Viktor Pshonka.

13:14. Prime Minister Nykolai Azarov said that mass protests in the country can only lead to losses.

'It's necessary to carry out difference and watershed. Barricades in the country won't produce any meat, any bread, any butter, any pools. They'll lead only to losses and destruction', said Azarov during the opening of training base in water sports in Brovary (Kyiv region).

He added that there are too many people who are engaged exclusively in conversation, but do nothing.

'We talk, we blame each other, but nothing good will come of it', stressed the prime minister.

13:33. The opposition party 'UDAR' demands to include funds for holding early presidential and parliamentary elections in the state budget for 2014. Deputy leader of the party Vitaly Kovalchuk has already submitted a proposal to the Verkhovna Rada to allocate almost $2 billion for this purpose.

13:56. Three Euromaidan activists detained on the basis of protests at the Presidential Administration on Bankova Street on December 1 remain in custody.

14:53. Barricades set by Euromaidan protesters in the center of Kyiv city will be additionally illuminated in case of another disconnection from the power supply, said Euromaidan commandant, lawmaker from the opposition faction 'Batkivshchyna' Arsen Avakov.

15:04. Ukrainian Foreign Ministry considers the adoption of U.S. Senate resolution on Ukraine as a show of support to Ukraine's European choice and its democratic development.

15:37. Tatyana Chornovol's husband Nikolai Berezovoi said that the statement of the Ministry of Health about the improvement of the state of her health is untrue and it remains 'very serious'.

17:04. The opposition agreed with the Prosecutor General on establishing a working group whose objective would be to carry out the law to end the persecution of Euromaidan protesters.

17:15. U.S. Embassy has promised to provide Auto-Euromaidan with legal assistance.

17:28. Prosecutor Oleg Fedorchuk said at a meeting of the court on Yaroslav Pritulenko's case that Ukrainian laws do not allow to apply the law on release of Euromaidan activists.

17:34. Ukrainian Interior Ministry denies that Alexander Chizhov detained on January 4th on suspicion of distributing pornography is one of Euromaidan coordinators in Kharkov.

17:43. Head of one of the offices of the State of the State Department of Internal Affairs in Kyiv has been announced suspected of abuse of power during the events that took place on November 30, when riot police used batons and stun grenades to disperse the crowd at Kyiv's Independence Square.

17:44. Several hundred activists are holding rally in support of Euromaidan activist Yaroslav Pritulenko near Pechersk district court in Kyiv. Pritulenko was arrested because of events on Bankova Street on December 1, when a group of opposition protesters assaulted the Presidential Administration.

18:41. Kyiv Pechersk district court judge Christina Gladun made a decision to refuse to release Yaroslav Pritulenko detained on Bankova Street on December 1.

18:45. All-Ukrainian Union 'Maidan' announced the creation of the strike committee, said singer Ruslana Lyzhychko, corrdinator of the Praesidium Council of AU 'Maidan'.

19:07. The opposition demands Prosecutor General, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine to come to the Verkhovna Rada with the report the next week, said leader of the opposition party 'UDAR' Vitali Klitschko.

19:24. Auto-Euromaidan activists are going to hold rally against 25 people, including law enforcement officers, prosecutors and judges.

19:45. Former Ukrainian Interior Minister and head of the public organization 'Ukrainian Third Republic' Yuriy Lutsenko demands the opposition leaders - Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Vitali Klitschko and Oleg Tyahnibok - to take personal responsibility for a concrete plan of total blockade of the authorities throughout the territory of Ukraine.

20:15. Police believes that further investigation into the beating of journalist Tatyana Chornovol is impossible without her direct involvement, said deputy chief of the Main Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Alexander Gnativ.

20:31. Lawmaker from the opposition party 'Batkivshchyna' Pavel Petrenko intends to propose the Verkhovna Rada to dismiss a judge of Pechersk district court in Kyiv Christina Gladun for violating the oath.

22:10. The opposition party 'UDAR' initiates the creation of patrols consisting both of Euromaidan activists and police officers to patrol the territory of Kyiv's Independence Square.

22:35. In Sumy activists of the party 'Batkivshchyna moloda' (youth wing of the the opposition party 'Batkivshchyna') brought broiler chicken carcasses with stripes Special Forces 'Berkut' under the Interior Ministry building in Sumy region in order to show 'Berkut' employees that they are not 'proud birds, but headless chickens who have been victims of this regime'.

22:50. The opposition 'Svoboda' fraction announced a possibility of police assault of the building of Kyiv city council this night.
