9:39. Eurodeputy and member of the Bureau of the European People's Party Michael Galer believes that one of the reasons for refusal of the Ukrainian authorities to sign the Association Agreement with the EU is their unwillingness to work on transparent rules.

13:55. Over a thousand people continue protesting on Kyiv's Independence Square.

14:08. Unidentified men smashed a monument to Vladimir Lenin in Nikolaev district, Odessa region.

14:25. The opposition is preparing a Christmas cultural program on Euromaidan.

14:35. Despite promises by the Kyiv traffic police, it continues to hinder Euromaidan vehicles from getting into the central part of Kyiv.

14:50. Car belonging to Ternopil City Council deputy of the opposition party 'Svoboda' Bogdan Popadin was burnt down.

15:45. The opposition 'Svoboda' fraction said that only police knew about the questioning after which deputy of this party Andrey Ilienko and lawyer Sidor Kizina were beaten at Shevchenko District Department of Internal Affairs in Kyiv.

15:56. Leader of the opposition party 'UDAR' Vitali Klitschko called on the European Parliament to apply personal sanctions against officials guilty of violating human rights in Ukraine.

16:36. Police doesn't rule out that former members of the ;Svoboda; fraction are involved in the attack on Andrey Ilienko and Sidor Kizina.

16:55. The opposition will initiate resignation of Attorney General Viktor Pshonka if Euromaidan activists are not be released from custody until January 10.

17:20. European Parliament Vice President Gianni Pittella urged the Ukrainian authorities to conduct an impartial investigation into the beatings of Euromaidan activists, including the brutal beating of journalist Tatyana Chornovil.

17:40. The opposition demands to reclassify the case of attack on the people's deputy Andery Ilienko for attempted murder.

17:54. One of the coordinators of Euromaidan in Kharkov Alexander Chizhov was taken to the local district police station on suspicion of distributing pornography on the Internet.
